What You Need to Know About the Green Card Lottery

The diversity Immigrant Visa programme, also called the "green card lottery," is a programme set up by Congress that gives out green cards through a lottery. Section 203(c) of the Immigration and Nationality Act says that this can only be done once a year by the Department of State. It has made it possible for a new group of people to move to the United States. Through this programme, togel macau each year up to 50,000 permanent resident visas are given to people from countries that don't send many people to the United States.

In the United States, a green card is one of the most important things to have.

You should expect to be taken advantage of if you don't have one. If someone says you have to pay a fee, they are trying to take advantage of you. Don't ever offer to pay for a chance to win a green card. You don't have to pay to play the lottery, and the winners are chosen at random. It doesn't immediately make you a citizen either. Only the lottery lets you sign up. The U.S. government will decide if you can stay or not.

Usually, you can sign up between October and December, but you should check with the State Department to find out about future lotteries.

You can only send in one entry to a lottery.

If their partner was one of the people chosen, spouses will get a Diversity Visa. To get in, you must be from a country that is allowed and meet the requirements for education or training. People from Canada, China (only if they are from Hong Kong, Macau, or Taiwan), Colombia, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Haiti, India, Jamaica, Mexico, Pakistan, Philippines, Poland, Russia, South Korea, United Kingdom (unless they are from Northern Ireland), and Vietnam can't apply for the 2007 lottery.

Always check with the State Department to make sure you have everything you need.

As for your education, you only need to go to elementary and high school for twelve years. You will also be accepted if you've had a job for at least two years in the last five years. Check with the U.S. Department of Labor to see if you are eligible based on your work experience.

If someone says they work for the U.S. Government, don't believe them if they are trying to scam you. Only the government of the United States runs the Green Card lottery. Also, don't listen to anyone who says they know more or have a special form to fill out. Everyone has to fill out the same form. Don't believe anything that sounds too good to be true, like that everyone is eligible or that their company is giving away more prizes. Everything is random and doesn't offer anything special.
